Ft. Hood Army Base Campout - This campout was especially special. The troop had a chance to spend the weekend at Ft. Hood. Where they had a chance to visit with troops, hang out with the Apache Helicopters, and shoot rifles (simulated of course). Hats off to all the men and women who serve our country.
Summer Camp 2009 - Yet another successful adventure to Camp Hale. Where is might have been a little warm but the boys had a great time and earned numerous merit badges.
8N Acres Campout - This campout the boys was able to work on the Farm Mechanics Merit Badge. Which allowed the boys to be exposed to something that they would otherwise never experience.
2009 Troop Rocket Launch - This event is becoming one of the troops favorite activity. This event offers the elements of what boys like, Speed, Explosions and very cool Crashes. This event especially enjoys interacting with the Webelos. As we always invite Webelos from different Packs to join us.

Big Bend National Park - This is a cool little trek down to southwest Texas. Where we can visit ghost towns, quick silver minds and check what beauty the desert has to offer.
Shooting Sports Weekend - This trip was our November outing where the boys had a chance to shoot Shotguns and 22's. Thanks to our host, Greg, Frances, Kevin and Mark McLaughlin, who allowed the troop to campout at their family farm. This trip we had a guest, you can't miss him. The boys called him "Jo-Boo" and he was quite the attraction.
Our Famous Canoe Trip 2008 - It's a wonderful thing when you get scouts who have been on this river for 7 years to boys who were brand new to the San Marcos river. As usual once the boys get on the river, they become Pirates and want to board other boats. 7 miles and hours later everyone is pulling themselves out of the river for some dry clothes and a hot meal.
Tawakoni State Park Campout - This trip the boys got out on the trail and kicked up some dust. Then they got to try their hand at some Foil Packs
Rocky Mountain High Adventure Base 2008 - This camp is designed for the older Scouts. Activities included White Water Rafting, Mountain Biking, Hiking, ect. On the way up to camp we stopped at South Fork Colorado where we were greeted and taken care of by Leon and Teresa (aka Momma T) Moreland and their friends George and Alice Orgain and Don Thorton.
The first day on the river we flipped our raft (where the river is about 45 degrees). Our Scoutmaster took the worst beating after the flip. Then he broke his left arm after he flipped his mountain bike (I think there is a pattern developing). During our down time we visited the Royal Gorge and an old abandon mine.
Rocky Mountain High Adventure Base just moved from the old location where there were new showers and dining hall. However this camp needs to provide more activities for the boys during their down time.
Crossover 2008 - This time of year is always special. Webelos are crossing into boy scouts. From the Webelos point of view this ceremony is as important and a Eagle court of honor. Troop 94 would like to welcome the 11 boys from Pack 1070. Welcome aboard guys!
March 2008 Rifle Shooting Campout @ Camp Constantin - The troop went to Camp Counstantin to work on the Rifle Merit Badge. This was also our first campout with our new scouts and new leaders. We all had a blast. The weather was good and Camp Constantin was in great shape. Hats off to all the boys who earned this fun and knowledgeable merit badge.
Feb 2008 Campout @ 8N Acres - on the way to campout the troop stopped at Sam Rayburn's house in Bonham TX. You would be amazed at the accomplishments of this man or should we say legend. After the visit the troop did some community project work at the 8N Acres farm. Where the boys cleared out some brush and weeds around a pond. After dinner the boys found some electricity where they battled it out on Guitar Hero.
2008 Rocket Launch - This year we invited the Webelos II from Pack 1070 to launch rockets and eat hot dogs. As usual we had casualties but their destruction was our pleasure. We love to launch the rockets, but we also like to see a few crash and burn.

Patrol Cook Off w/ Pack 1070 Webelos as Judges - This was a very fun event. The Webelos and Webelos leaders acted as our judges in the 1st annual Patrol Cook Off. There were hand made pizza's, stew, biscuits and cobbler that was consumed by all who attended. The biscuits was the big hit but since that was only part of the stew, the stew was the official winner. Many thanks to the Webelos and their leaders for participating in this fulfilling event.
Shotgun Shooting Weekend - This November, the boys were working on their shotgun shooting merit badge. So we packed up to Camp Wisdom to do a little shooting. The weather was great and the boys had a wonderful time, as well as the adults.
Canoe Trip 2007 - This year the troop went to Arkansas for a little canoeing and playing in the water. The only problem we had was there was not much water in the river but it was still fun. Thanks to Bob for the photos and Angela for organizing the trip.
Philmont 2007 - Yes, we were lucky enough to pick up on another trek through Philmont. This is a compilation of all photos taken while visiting God's Country. Philmont offers challenges for boys to over come but rewards them with the beauty that God has given us all. The boys were awesome and the adults hung in there.
Summer Camp 2007 - Another year another summer camp. July 2007 Troop 94 went to Camp Blast where they had a blast and earned many merit badges.
2007 Scout Show - Another wonderful Scout Show where Troop 94 served up close to 1000 hot dogs to scouts and scouters in the Circle 10 area.
Welcoming Home Our Heroes - It's a wonderful thing when you can put a smile on someone's face. Well Troop 94 put smiles on our brave men and women who serve our glorious country. The troops were greeted at DFW airport by some very grateful people and Troop 94 was in the mix.
Big Bend 2007 - Yet another wonderful trip to Big Bend National Park to get another Philmont crew ready for this July's journey. Hats off to Teri and Glenn for managing the boys up and over the Chios. Ending up at Juniper Canyon. The trip would not be complete without a Star party at McDonald's Observatory. Which was much warmer than our 2005 trip.

Webelos Woods 2006 - This event allows the troop to give back into the Cub Scouting Program and exposes the Webelos to Troop 94
Canoe Trip 2006 - Again this year Troop 94 went down the San Marcos River. We stayed at Pecan Park Retreat, which is right on the river, and was outfitted by TG Canoe. There were 26 kayaks and 2 canoes which at times caused a pretty major traffic jam. Especially during boarding time, that’s right boarding time. Not like boarding “onto a plane”, more like pirates stealing a ship. Boys and adults were trying their best to board the other kayaks (troop members only) and knock them into the water.
Philmont 2006 - This has been Troop 94's 3rd trip to this amazing country. Philmont offers challenges for boys to over come but rewards them with the beauty that God has given us all. The boys were awesome and the adults hung in there.
Summer Camp 2006 - Again great job to all the boys who went to summer camp. Excellent job Steve Hays and Bob Borgens for organizing this trip. This could not have been done without you all.
Philmont May Shakedown - Just a couple of weeks before heading out to Philmont. We wanted the scouts to take this shakedown serious, like we were at Philmont. For the most part the boys did good. We have one more shakedown on June 8 (night before we leave). All gear will be secured at the scoutmasters house
Scout Show 2006 - Scout show 2006 was a blast. All who went did not go away hungry. There were pleanty of Circle 10 troops that were serving up some good grub. Also hats off to the winners of the 42" plasma TV and the winner of the Ford Ranger pick up. Cant wait until next year
Hiking Merit Badge - In early morning when energy is high the goal for all was to hike 20 miles and complete the hiking merit badge. Well, minds changed after 10 miles and there were only 5 scouts that made the journey. Congrats to scouts who pounded out the last 10 miles.
Court of Honor March 06 - A Special welcome to the new scouts who just crossed over from Pack 1070. This is a very special event for the troop as we get all the parents together and celebrate what the boys have earned from the last few months.
Prepping for Philmont 06 - Big Bend Winter 05 (12/26/2005)- There was a handful that wanted to get some backpacking experience or just test their health. This was a trek that would simulate what Philmont Scout Ranch would have to offer, with the exception of the goat.
Dinosaur Valley State Park - December 16, 2005, 19 of us braved the cold weather and went down to Glen Rose to camp out. We were able to get in a 5 mile hike, do a service project, repair our flag pole, eat, have fun and stay warm.
Adult Philmont Prep Outing (12/3/2005) - There were 8 adults that went out for an overnighter backpack adventure. Mostly to figure out what will be needed to get ready for Philmont in June 2006. The adults acted as a crew, setting up camp, cooking, cleaning, and hanging bear bags. Temperature got down to 33 on Saturday night which was a great motivator to pack up and get going on Sunday morning.
Canoe Trip 2005 - This is our famous canoe trip that the boys choose to indulge themselves every year. Of course, this year was no different as compared to the previous times, we all had a blast. Great weather, good food and 29 kayaks forging their way down the river. No matter what, this trip is always a major success.
Lazy Campout @ Possum Kingdom - Camping in August in Texas is hot. Add a little water, boats and tubes and it gets very cool. The troop rented a deck boat and took the boys out on the water for the day. No injuries just some sore body parts along with some great memories. This trip is becoming a troop tradition.
Summer camp 2005 @ Camp Blass - Hats off to Steve Hays for organizing this years summer camp. Steve and Bob Borgens rounded up the boys and off to Arkansas for a week full of good times and little rest. Boys had a great time playing in the water and in the dirt. In fact due to the successful trip, the troop will be back @ camp Blass next year.
Big Bend National Park 2005- (March 2005) The troop was able to spend some time down at Big Bend National Park. We camped @ Cottonwood park at the group camp area (very nice place). Due to equipment problems, the troop was able to make small hikes during the day and a little off road adventure. We worked our way up to the Davis Mountains and was able to make one of the famous "Star Parties" at the McDonald observatory. Which was very cool and cold. In fact the troop woke up to 20 degrees that last morning. Big Bend is always a good trip, plenty to do while there. It's just a long way to get there.
Rocket Launch 2005 - The troop went out to launch some rockets and to test their skills. Or to see how well their masterpiece was constructed. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Thank you Mr. Gilmore for putting this event on.
February campout at the Borgen's Farm - This campout was a little wet. The boys had to camp in the mud and cow patties. During the day the boys got their tripod based sling shots ready for battle. While the adults or really Mr. Montgomery design up a true catapult. When the boys got tired of launching tennis balls. They started throwing them. Causing some injuries (one black eye and we cant mention the other). When they got bored of tennis balls, other thing started flying.
This was the first campout for the new troop trailer. However it sustain injuries on the way out (nothing that cant be fixed).

Trail to First Class & Webelos Woods 2004 - This Campout served as a multi-purpose campout. Participate in Webelos Woods 2004 and to work on some Trail to First Class requirements. The Troop hosted two events @ Webelos Woods, Tent Race and a Marshmallow shooting gallery. This event we had our newer boys participate in the events while our SPL and ASPL were acting as patrol guides to the Webelos. Let's not forget our Adult Leaders who did a outstand job on the Trail to First Class requirements.
Canoe Trip 04 - This is our yearly trip down the San Marcus River and then over to Blacks BBQ. Which is always a blast. However, this year the older boys rented Kayaks instead of canoes. Which was a major hit and could be the troop standard from now on for all of the boys.
Packard High Adventure Base 2004 - This was a great trip, in one week the troop went backpacking, biking, fishing and white water rafting.
Camp Constantine 2004 - Our first year Scouts enjoyed a full week at Camp Constantine on Lake Possum Kingdom.
Work Day at the Church - The troop had the opportunity to clear the field that was next to the church. Moving rocks, cutting down weeds and staying away from the poison ivy. The church is now using the field as Soccer and baseball facilities.
Crossover 2004 w/ Pack 1070 - Never go camping on May Fest Weekend. You are guaranteed to get wet. But it's all worth it in the end. We crossed over 10 boys from Pack 1070 into our troop. Saturday was windy and cold but Sunday was beautiful. We welcome the new boys and their parents into our family.
London / Bath / Stonehenge - This was one cool trip. Troop 94 spent spring break 2004 in the U.K. Dont forget to check the hats that the boys were wearing. Rumor has it that this could be the next troop hat????

****Hats off to the OA staff for putting on a great winter camp. ****
We cannot wait unit we have another chance to return to Philmont.
Crossover 4 Webelos from Pack 1070. This was a fun event mostly due to Bob Borgens and his Indian tales.
Fun was had by all. Webelos got a taste of what Boy Scouting is like (so did the parents). Lot's of FUN
This was a great trip! We backpacked the Chios Mountains of Big Bend National Park. Acquired backcountry permits from the rangers and off we were for three days. Up to 7400ft for some fantastic scenery, good company and a great time. Where water was a little scarce and the Raman noodles were plentiful.
Not only was this a great trip but it was a great shake down trip for Philmont, June 2003.

December we darted up to the Wichita Mountains for a weekend of backpacking and fun. Saturday we backpacked through the Dog Run Hollow Trails and ended up with a wonderful fire, food and sorted stories. Lets not forget the Elk, Longhorn Steers, Bison's , Turkeys, and Prairie Dogs that were spotted through out the trip. Sunday, we packed up our campsite and headed over to the Holy City the boys posed for their "Bad Hair" photo ops. Then we ventured off to eat lunch at Meer Where our sprits where high and bellies were full. On the journey home the Big Mac theater was showing Lords of the Ring.
A fun-filled weekend of skill challenges and games based up Philmont's style of Camping. We were formed into a Crew and was limited to what we can carry. Based upon the 2002 Philmont equipment list.
Friday night we arrived at Camp Meisenbach setup camp. Saturday morning we had to packed back up our tents, loaded our packs, had a light breakfast and hit the trail. Some of the activities were, Backpack Shakedown, First Aid Station, Trail Cooking, Map Reading, Bear Bag relay ,Water Relay (filter and sanitize water) and the Beat the Rain contest (how fast can you setup tents, crew dining fly and personal rain gear). We were off of the trail by 4:45pm and had our camp site setup by 5:15pm.
This was truly one of the better Camporee's that we attended. We call this the "Philmont 101". Great way to get introduced into backpacking.
30 of us went on our yearly canoe trip down the San Marcus. Water was flowing faster than normal which caused a few people to cap side and inhale some unexpected water. With the exception of the high humidly and the nats. The weather was perfect and fun was had by all. This trip would not be complete without a trip to Blacks BBQ. Which is awesome as always.
We spent the weekend at Camp Cherokee. Saturday we blind-folded the scouts and drove them to the far edge of the camp. Once we were there, Scoutmaster gave them a map and ask them to get us back to camp (adults included). This adventure took about 3 hours and 5.5 miles. Once in camp we started working on the Climbing merit badge. Sunday we spent the morning on the Climbing and Rappelling tower. Congratulations to all of the 1st time rappellers. Fun was had by all.
San Isabel Scout Ranch located in San Isabel Colorado ,9000 above sea level ,just south of Pueblo. Pat Christensen, Camp Director, and his staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. Jamie and her kitchen staff does a great job preparing Wonderful food for the camp. (If you walk away hungry that is your own fault.) Aaron the Program Director makes sure that the counselors go out of their way to make the Scouts the top priority and making sure that everyone is having a good time while providing a program for the boys that is fun and unrestricting. The boys can take as many merit badges as their time permits. San Isabel has a open program. The boys can come and go from on merit badge session to another without time restrictions. Therefore making the boys feel that it's not like school. Also lets them earn more badges.
San Isabel Scout Ranch is one of those hidden gems when it comes to Scout camps. The Staff is wonderful, food is great and the weather is awesome. This trip makes the 3rd time for our troop to visit San Isabel and hopefully more trips to come in the future.
Mr. Kelly Davis did a outstanding job of putting together this trip. This was a trip for the older boys that entailed Hiking, Hiking and even more Hiking. When we weren't Hiking then there was some sleeping out under the stars, observing the stars at the McDonald observatory, checking out some weird lights near Marfa or just flying a kite. Let's not forget eating!
We spent a weekend @ Sid Richardson Scout Ranch in may doing a little of First Aid, Orienteering, and some Climbing and Rappelling. If we weren't doing that then we playing a little Hackie Sack or just lounging around.

We made the journey to Colorado to get away from the Texas heat. San Isabel Scout Ranch is about 9000 feet above sea level. Very nice weather for July.
Food was great, camp was great and the view was Awesome. The Camp Director really went out of his way to make us feel at home.
San Isabel rates very high with the Troop.
We do not have many pictures for 2001. However we stayed busy with activities

While the more experience members of the troop ( or the ones who love a great challenge backpacking ) were preparing for Philmont. The new crew decided to camp out where there is a lot of water and fun. Check out the boy flying in the air or just plopping on the ground.
Everyone hears stories about one of the worlds greatest backpacking adventures of all time. Once we get the photos from the boys. We will be happy to share them with you.
Every year we take a canoe trip in October. Thanks to Mr. Reed who organizes this for us. Some years we take photos and other years we get taken up in the fun and forget about the cameras.
This is truly one of the greatest trips of the year.
